It is usually OK if you do not switch back and forth - but - people usually want to sleep "normal" hours on their days off and this constitutes "back and forth" (sleeping during the day some, during the night some). I know people who work nights and keep the daytime sleeping schedule all the time. I think this is the best. Some people just cannot sleep during the day, no matter how long they work nights. I think if it is working for you and you feel OK, then it is perfectly fine!
