Well as much as I don't want it dumped in Washington if the industry is still a 94 billion dollar industry then tons of $$$ is flowing in and out of Washington for special interest groups. They count on the public putting their heads into the sand about these awful issues. |
Does the amount of $ make this industry 'too big to fail' as per Washington logic? That's another good reason to attack these issues locally, where there is at least some accountability. Success in one or two areas can have a ripple effect. Like with the Tea Party movement....they started off small and are now 'too big to ignore'.
DISCLAIMER: I'm not trying to 'go there'...just using it as an example.
