Yes they are alot of work . You would think it would be easy. That the mother would do it all . But that is not the case . True the mother does most of the work . But you have to make sure everyone is getting the milk they need . You have to weigh them everyday.And make sure the mother is getting what she needs. Small dog can have alot of problems if they dont get what they need. Plus the worrying . Just like having a human new born . They wake me up everytime they cry. The first week i lived on 2 hours of sleep a night. Sometimes less. Puppies are alot of work!!
