Who would think that a tick bite could cause such a huge sore. We are just loaded with ticks in my area, (upstate new york). My mom ended up in the hospital with septicemia from a tick bite the week before Hannah was bitten. I use advantix and interceptor (spent over $500.00) and still I am pulling ticks off the gang. I hate taking them for a walk anymore. I put indoor/outdoor carpet in their yard to prevent ticks but it sure doesn't seem to help much.
