I'm a very...logical person. When I make a big decision, I always have to weigh the pros and cons of each option. So I did a LOT of research and reading before I settled on a Yorkie. I also strongly agree with this statement:

I chose a Yorkie because the breed description and other info I found fit my household well. My husband has allergies, so I didn't want to risk a dog that sheds nor did I want dog hair all over the place regardless. I wanted a dog that would be small and travel well because we make a two-hour drive once a month to visit family. I didn't mind the coat care because I was used to that with my poodle and I didn't want another poodle since we'd just lost ours. I wanted a dog that didn't have that "doggy" odor. And out of the dogs that fit this criteria, the Yorkie was by far the most beautiful! I didn't "fall in love" with Chloe until we got her and every day I love her more. But I think this would have been true of any dog we got, no matter the breed. I'm a dog person and there are very few breeds that I can't see myself getting pretty attached to!!
