I'm very sorry to hear this! I hope his heart is working better now that he is using cpap! It usually helps a lot!
Also, I meant to say the machines are very very quiet now - but if you can hear it, use a fan or a white noise machine. My hubby's oxygen machine is VERY noisy so we sleep with a ceiling fan and another fan.
