I will be calling vet first thing in the morning to report this. Since she has eaten a little today and drank water, gums pink I think this is not an emergency. She just is not feeling well at all, poor baby. You know how you can just tell with them.
Anyone else have issues with Inverhart Max? Everything I have read says a reaction can occur up to 72 hours after dosage. Also suggestions for a safer heartworm med would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. |
I used the Iverhart two years ago on one of my yorkies. He had a reaction just like your girl. He almost seemed like he was in pain... it was 3 days after giving him the Iverhart. I didn't figure it out until the next month when he had the same symptoms.
I changed him back to the Heartgard.
According to my vet the pill (Iverhart) is more compressed than the Heartgard and it might have been "too much" (the dosage) for my dog.
Hope you figure out what is best for your little one.
