Default Foaming at the mouth...

I saw my puppy foaming at the mouth yesterday and it looked like a ton of spit bubbles around her muzzle. I'm not sure what this was a sign of. I found a thread on here that said foaming can be related to stress or the presence of food but she had been whining and barking for a good 15 minutes due to the people that I had over during the weekend. We had a busy weekend and she is not use to that. She was also in her kennel a lot more this weekend than she is use to because I didn't want her to get underfoot and get stepped on since she is so tiny.

Any ideas? I was worried it might have been hypoglycemia or something serious but it went away and hasn't come back. She still has a very normal appetite and has no problems with pottying at all. We have a german shepherd and my bf's roommates have 3 cats but they are never around each other. She has not ever stepped foot outside except when I'm carrying her to the car to take her somewhere so I know she didn't eat grass or a toad. Thanks!!
