I have a girl and I can say that Bailey was very easy to train, loveable and is food motivated. She was potty trained in 2 mos and is leash free. She's absolutely the most perfect dog!!
I believe that as long as you are the alpha and are consistient about being the alpha - then the dog will not be confused and will naturally want to please. It has as much to do with the owner as it does the dog.
