Over the sum of 25 years of having yorkies I have had 5 yorkies shipped to me via airlines - all Delta Dash and never a problem. But they were only shipping one pup to me at a time. In each case they had plenty of food, pillow, toy, and water with even extra food attached to the top of their kennel and in one case Nutr-Cal attached to the top also. They ranged in age from 4 - 6 months of age. I bought during the time when I knew the weather was a great temperature for flying as well as the breeders would only ship during good temperatures. I purchased this way only to improve my lines and to get show prospects. In each case I trusted the breeder and they had excellent reputations! I also made sure that the breeder contact me the minute she left my baby and I arrived early at the airport checking and rechecking on the arrival time. At the airport I had to show them my license to get my baby. They were excellent in all cases. I have also shipped my babies out, but was totally responsible and in each case they all arrived in top condition. I even would dash to the gate of the flight so I could see how my babies were getting on the plane and sit there until it left. In all cases they the planes left right after they pup was boarded. I do not like to ship only because I have heard of bad cases and I drive my hubby nuts running through the airport to watch the plane leave.
I believe that it is how the sender and receiver handle themselves in each case. Who would ever send them all together in one kennel? Crazy! Who would send a puppy in bad health out? I thought they had to have a health certificate in each case when a pup is going to fly. Who would not be there in time to pick up the pups when they arrived?
