This op stated the above. My concern is if she is going out of breeding how will she mentor and or support a potential breeder who buys her dog? $400 is awfully low for a fully registered AKC breeding female.

I believe that if you want to get out of breeding then do so completely. Neuter your un-neutered dogs/bitches, and place them in loving homes. This way you are assured that at the very least your dogs/bitches won't be used indiscriminately for breeding.
