Apparently she re-bled into her lungs and suffocated. The vet is performing an autopsy this morning.

Our vet said it almost looked like some major trauma, although she had no sign of any broken ribs or other broken bones. Also could have been spontaneous bleeding, from what?? We have no mice/rat poison around the house, unless somebody threw some over the fence. Who would do such a thing??

Has anyone had any experience like this?? We are so sad in our house right now it's hard to describe.

How awful, I am so sorry to hear of this happening. Just know that Cleo will be waitng at the rainbow bridge for you one day.
Words cannot describe the loss that you are feeling right now. I just hope that very soon you can put another wonderful yorkie into your home and your heart.
Hugs,
