To all the lost babies. I agree that getting another will ease the pain. At least it does for me. I have had to have dogs put to sleep for various reasons over the years, but the one that sticks in my memory is a Poodle that was 16 and had lost most of her sight, and then became ill. I took her to be put down and when I got into the car to leave my Aus. Cattle Dog puppy climbed up in my lap and licked the tears from my face. No one takes the place of the one who is gone, but they do partially fill the gap that is left. I don't know what I would have done without one to do that. I hugged her, dried my tears and drove on home still feeling the pain, but also feelilng the love of the other one. |
