Money isn't the issue here at all, so don't confuse the question about your age with concerns of money, in case you were thinking that. Trust me, at your age I thought it would be so cool to have a puppy taken from it's mother when it was first born so that I could "raise it my way." Boy, wouldn't I have been surprised to find out how not well my puppy would have been if I went through with it.
Let me add to your post if I may.

To Wolflover. Your little girl was purchased by Petland from a Puppy Mill who would have used her in the same way you are doing. No concern as to her size and/or age. So you are no different.
