So for the insurance you have to pre pay it then send something in to get your money back?? Thats rediculous!! Wow I cant believe that. What do you think would be my best bet with all that insurance stuff with him. My vet told me I should def get it. |
Yep! You have to pay your vet, then send in your pets statement with a diagnosis then you'll get reimbursed. And at times these insurance companies will decide, based on the diagnosis that they aren't going to reimburse you. So, your vet will have to intervine, write a letter explaining the situation.
If you choose to go the insurance route. Do a lot of research. There are some that will cover genetic disease. But, in order to do so it is something that would crop up after a pup has had a physical. If your deciplined you just might put away money in an emergency account for those emergencies.
