I just wanted to let you know that our little boy (11 weeks old) was having the same problem. He could not go poop, he was trying so hard, and dragging his butt across the floor because he was so uncomfortable.

When we turned him over to take a look, we could see that it was stuck because of the hair around that area. We put him in the bathtub in warm water for a few minutes and checked him again. We began to think it was a lost cause so we got ready to take him to the vet. Just as we were ready to leave, HE WENT!

The warm water from the bath must have loosened everything up.
Of course we then trimmed the area so that hopefully we can prevent this from happening in the future.
