Hello everyone!
Last month, I started my 5 month puppy with heartworm medication (Heartguard). It was a sample given to me by her vet and at the time I did not think much about it. However, she is due for the second round of heartworm meds in a few days and I am starting to look for safe and effective heartworm meds in the market. Can anybody give me any recommendations on heartworm medications that are safe for smaller breeds. I feel a little uncomfortable about Heartguard and their 25lbs for smaller breed dosage. My puppy is only 5 pounds. I feel like I am over-medicating her!! Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!!
