Eukanuba really isnt a great food.. there are lots of foods out there that are better.

When I brought home Jezebel, I had pretty much the same situation as the one you describe. She was sent home on Eukanuba, I wanted to change that, and, like you, I also had an older dog.

First thing you need to be certain of is that your puppy is thriving. I weighed mine a couple of times a week, and could measure her weight gain, so I was certain she was getting along well.

It appeared that she adjusted to her new home instantly, and never seemed bothered by anything, so after 2 weeks I started to transition her to a much better food, Innova Puppy. She did well on it, but my senior dog was always trying to eat the puppy food and the puppy was always trying to get into my senior's bowl. So then I went in search of a super premium food that was formulated for All Life Stages (ALS) so that I could feed both dogs the same food.

I had 4 criteria:
1) It had to be super premium.
2) It had to be ALS
3) The manufacturer could not use ethoxyquin
4) I had to be able to find it locally.

Here is what I've come up with, I'm sure there are more that could be added to this list (because I couldn't find a convenient place to buy them locally):

Merrick Before Grain
Natura (Evo and Innova Small Bites lines)
Honest Kitchen
Sojoss
Nature's Variety - Prairie kibble and canned, Instinct (grain free) kibble and canned, and frozen and freeze dried raw
Fromm

If you are not having trouble getting your pup to eat now, you probably don't have a picky eater. Good luck -- just transition slowly to avoid tummy upsets.

Right now I am feeding Nature's Variety Raw in the morning, then letting them graze on Nature's Variety kibble all day long.
