I usually give a quick bath and a blow dry, right after the last pup and before I put her in to rest and enjoy her babies. I know that they are canines, but somehow I put a human spin on it and think about how I felt after giving birth. I usually give a full bath after a week, and base it how willing she is to leave her pups.
