He had super thin topknot hair as a puppy, and at three, I still have more than half the bottle, so it's a good value. The band shouldn't break the hair, I like using the thinner bands with lots of stretch, and the main thing is to not place the band on too close to the scalp. Joey's breeder recommended placing a steal comb between the band and the scalp to loosen the band, if you keep the band too tight, you will lose circulation to the area, and balding and even blackening of the skin may occur. I keep Joey's topknot in all the time, but it pretty loose at bedtime.
Hi Nancy; Great response, thank you! This maybe our answer. Can you please tell me where you get your thinner bands with lots of stretch?
Also where may I purchase Bio-groom? I am in Canada but can purchase off the internet if not available in our area.
Thank you!
