Question Can I kennel train my dog after pee pad training her for a year??

Good morning everyone,

Well Bailey is fully pee pad trained, she is a year and 4 months old. She is baby gatted in the kitchen during the day. I am moving back to my home town accross Canada at the end of June and want to consentrate to train her to go potty outside.
The best way to train them during the day is to kennel train them and her bladder is already able to hold it for 8+ hours as most times when we come home after work there is nothing on the pee pad.
But my issue is will she be confused, will she be mad at me for putting her in a kennel when we are not home instead of a full kitchen? Will I have to chase her around everyday to put her int he kennel??
She already barks when we leave home will this be worst??
I know I will leave her water in the kennel but should I leave her food as well??
and once I am home I know it is for me to keep bringing her outside and consistancy that will help and LOTS of praise... she already rings a bell at my door to go play outside so that is good

Oh one more thing while I train her to go outside should I leave her pee pad inside the house or illiminate it??

Thanks for any inputs
I will open another thread asking my questions about the BIG move..lol
