Last summer all three of my girls had a hand in the demise of two baby rabbits.
I'm not sure why, but these bunny mothers keep making nests in our rose bushes and under our deck. Three dogs and a fenced in yard and they keeping make our yard their home!
They were so little and they all picked them up. They didn't viciously attack them, but since they were small, just carrying them was enough. I really think they thought it was one of their stuffed animals they carry around 24/7.
When I told them to drop, they all did and looked at it like they didn't know what it was.
Two others we rushed to the vet and he was able to save one and turn it over to a wildlife rescue!
I know it's instinct, but I still cried for those little bunnies!
