My pup, thankfully was still there when I got in. Although she started having separation anxiety again for a few months afterward. Barking like crazy when I'd leave. She is over that now.
Stay positive and visualize her safe return.

May I suggest to keep posting and if possible advertise in local (free newspapers) thinking, the person who broke in, if it were a guy, maybe thought how cute your dog would be for his gf and took her.
Was there anything else taken or was the motive for the dog alone?

I am thinking positive for you also.
