Once the pups are walking well I like to grind up the dry puppy food until it is real fine like corn meal and I just place a small bowl of that in the pen with the pups along with a small bowl of water. The pups will just lick up the ground up food and the pups will continue to nurse mom and be weaned slowly. |
thanks all for your replies. Mum gets half a calcium tablet 2 x times a day with boiled mince and Royal Canin biscuits.... she is doing well and hasnt shown any signs of illness... pups are really fat so she is feeding well.
Ill wait till they are at least 3.5 weeks but if they start to cry alot then i will introduce them to food earlier... thanks for your advice, greatly appreciated. x
