I was actually just discussing this with a breeder a few days ago, because I was really surprised (and grossed out) to learn how frequently dogs are mated to relatives. But I guess it's necessary in many cases.

Now, it's my understanding that a breeding that close (brother/sister) is only done by very experienced breeders, because it tends to accentuate attributes, both good and bad. I can't advise you if this particular pair poses more significant risks, and I'm sure there are other concerns, such as the female's age and if she's big enough for a litter. But your dogs did not "violate" each other or anything like that.
