Is there a pic perhaps we could see of his feet?? That might help. I have never heard of it before, but as a breeder I try to find out as much as I can! Open fonts are not horribly unusual on a pup of that size. The old wives tale is that means they will be small when they are grown.
My lil guy that I have kept back came early (litter mate didn't have hair on his legs even and never took his first breath). He also had problems with starting to breath and had the shot to help that out. The vet really didn't think he was going to make as he was gasping and everyone knows a gasping puppy is not good. Well, we took him home and that actually stopped later that night, but since he was early he didnt have very good muscle tone so he couldn't nurse long enough to fill his belly. So we actually tube fed him for the first few days while also putting him on his mommy for the colostrum. I am only telling you all this to show that it might be a lot of work, but don't give up! Keegan is now 6 months and he is Mr Crazy now! LOL
