NaturVet Omega Gel Caps 180 Ct.

I use many of NaturVets products, and like the results that I have had with them.

As Dwerten has also brought up, Vitamin E is inhibited by the metabolisis of fish oil. Without getting too academic, a tripeptide molecule consisting of three amino acids(cysteine, glycine , and glutamic acid) combine to form Glutathione. Glutathione is an essential component in the bodies immune system, in fighting free radicals and is considered essentially the Master Antioxidant and Antitoxin. Other Antioxidants, like C and E, are dependent upon it for their functionality. Fish oils decrease the secretion of this Antioxidant, Gluthathione, and therefore inhibits absorbtion of the other two(C&E) respectively.

Fortunately, organizations have since researched this inadequacy and now usually include Vitamin E through flax seed oil, sunflower, palm, or a combination of these in most of their fish oil supplements.
NaturVet does include the Vitamine E in theirs, so you made an excellent choice.

(....and Kudos to you Dwerten, most people know nothing of fish oil and its issues, as there are many, which is another thread! )
