It sounds like the pups are doing great. As the pups get older they will not need to nurse as often so that might be all that is going on. I don't usually introduce mine to food until they are closer to 3 1/2 to 4 weeks old. It really depends on the pups, how well they are walking and how much milk the mom has. Once the pups are walking well I like to grind up the dry puppy food until it is real fine like corn meal and I just place a small bowl of that in the pen with the pups along with a small bowl of water. The pups will just lick up the ground up food and the pups will continue to nurse mom and be weaned slowly.
