Theresa, I have never seen anyone enter a dog in more than one class per show. Most exhibitors enter puppies in the puppy class unless they are older puppies and are exceptional. I have seen puppies entered in the bred-by class, but it was mainly at specialty shows. My personal feelings are that it is best to enter puppies in the puppy class unless you are more experienced at showing. Judges are more forgiving of puppies when it comes to behavior and also if the puppy has not fully cleared on the head.
