there are so many ways to deal with this, I know some on the board say to intervene, while others will say to let them work it out. I can only share what happened with my two. We got Samson and when he was 6 months old we decided to get another one, Harley. Har was only 1.8lbs when we brought him home and he walked in the door knowing he was the alpha mail. He did the same thing with the food, took all the toys and wanted to rule the roost. I actually didn't bond with Harley right away because Sam was my baby and I felt like this little beast was taking over our lives. What I saw was never agressive so I decided to let them work it out for the most part. it took several months for them to work it out but we have had both dogs for over a year now and Samson knows how to hold his own when he needs to. Har is still Alpha but there are times when Sam will put him into his place. At first Sam couldn't stand each other and now they are two peas in a pod.
