I know exactly what you mean. Gidget was BOB puppy in her first show; in her second show she hopped on her hind legs like a bunny rabbit. And that's the good part.  Think of it this way - it's good that he has personality and energy and now it just needs to be reigned in a little bit. At least that's what everyone tells me about Gidget.
I also feel extremely clumsy and awkward in the ring. I just don't know what to do with all my "stuff" and Gidget needs my full attention. I have two left feet and I know I look like a big doof. You, however, do NOT!

I know that I'm not the only one that feels like this,sure is nice to hear I'm not alone.
I just heard of some handling classes within my reach here in Montreal.They are on Wednesday nights.I'm going to go watch next Wednesday night and then start the week after when the new session starts.I'm sure thay will help me alot.
I guess just practice and repitition,watch others while you are waiting to go in.I'm practicing everyday now when I take Sebastien out for his walk,I learned that he needs to get the beans out of him first,then he concentrates a lot more.
