Sweet Apple, Layla would pee on the carpet in our old house as well (a rental), and even on an area rug we had under the table. BUT when we would visit my parents or my grandma or anyone else with carpet or area rugs, she wouldn't use them at all
But I think we're going to be a no-carpet family forever now lol.
The hardwoods in our place are all original and have not been refinished at all, so there are some spaces between boards every once in awhile and I love how old and worn they look, but I worry that if she pees, it'll get in a crack and we'll never totally clean it out
