Yes I agree with this. How old is your dog? Every dog is born with an urge not to pee what he sleeps, he's trying to cover up his pee. If you have a young puppy, you need to take him out every few hours to pee, just place him on a pee pad, once or twice during the nighttime. Most trainers say to keep in a small crate so that he won't be even tempted to pee, but you don't want to do this before 12 weeks. Some breeders keep younger puppies in a large x-pen and have several pads and the sleeping area is far enough a way, that they don't think they are peeing where they are sleeping. What you are doing, could affect his latter ability to potty train successfully.
