I would not give her the whole pill in one sitting, this could cause stomach upset, and other GI sensitivities.

Is the pill a gel or a tablet?
If it is a tablet then you could purchase a pill cutter which is fairly cheap usually sold at pharmacy's, and just cut it in half. Dromie gets her allergy meds like this.
If it is a gel, I would puncture a whole in the bottom of it with a toothpick, and then squeeze half of it on her food; wrap it and place it hole side up in a cup in the fridge for the next day. I do that with the omegas that I use for my pups. It comes in a gel form, and the dosage is also twice the recommended, so I only do half per day.
