Financial concerns are one of the main reasons not to get another one. Good for your for considering that.
My Lady has several chronic health issues. I am so glad I never added another. I know I wouldn't have been able to get her the vet care I have if I'd had another one. She is 14.5 years old.
One ER visit can run $1,000.
