Gracie is 6 months old and the only dog in the house, there is also no kids...just me and my boyfriend. She has the tendancy to bark constantly directly at me when I am not paying attention too her. I lay down to take a nap and she is right on the side of the bed barking literally until I get up whether it be 10 minutes or 2 hours. The other night she barked ALL NIGHT from 10:00 until 12:00 when I took her out to potty and then she came back in I got in bed and she barked and barked some more. She also does this when I am sitting at the table doing my homework for my Pharmacy classes she barked for an hour straight today.
I tried ignoring her, putting her in a different room with her gate up.....
How do I get her to stop the barking....I cant sleep with a barking dog next to my bed ALL NIGHT. I think she might have slept maybe an hour and the rest of a typical night is spent barking and scratching at the bed....
ANy suggestions on how to get her to stop this??? It seems its an attention thing she gets it all the time and when she isnt her way of showing she wants attention is to bark.
