This past weekend I went to visit our local bird sanctuary and the nature center to gather some wildlife information. As for protecting our little furbutts from the hawks they suggested setting up bright colored windsock's and using lighted flashing collars (also suggested by maryeverette
). Mesh netting that is used in orchards to protect the fruit on fruit trees, however, the hawks could get caught in it and become injured if not done strategically
