If one is not into showing their dogs, would there be the need or the incentive to produce perfection? And, if they are willing to accept less than perfect as the norm, that puts a lot of pups out there that potentially could be bred, thereby reproducing more and more dogs with faults.

That being said, I'm grateful that, even with the most careful and responsible breeding, that not all dogs are show quality. I wouldn't have my dear girl.
