I started my puppy on Nutri-cal about a week after I got her. She had a good appetite when I first got her but since she is probably going to weigh less than 4 lbs full grown and fearing hypoglycemia give it to her once a day as a supplement. She goes crazy for it and she doesn't seem to be a picky eater at all. I've been leaving food down for her 24/7 but she rarely gets treats. She also knows that she will not get whatever we are eating even when she is begging for it. I think its best not to give in and worry about them not eating or else you will make it harder for yourself. Dogs in the wild are always a little hungry and never know when their next meal will come so any food they were able to get, they would eat.
