They gave her an injection of benadryl and perscribed children's benadryl. I had to take her back the next day because she was still so itchy and miserable. She scratched her belly so much she made it bleed. And she keeps rubbing her ears on the carpet. They gave her a shot of anti-inflamitory and told me to keep giving her the benadryl. Her belly, neck and private area seem better, but not her ears. The vet said it was definetly not an ear infection, just the allergic reaction.
Has this ever happened to you? Do you have any suggestions on what may help sooth her itching??
I called the groomer and they used Groomers Edge shampoo and The Stuff spray.
I usually use Earthbath puppy shampoo and detangling spray and have not had any issues.
Please help! I hate seeing Missy so miserable. She didn't even want to eat. |

it could be two things she was burned as that will make them itchy so was she shaved? If so that is not fun it happened to my non-allergy dog and i have an allergy dog and allergic reactions are not fun

Did you re- wash her with the earth bath to get it off her? Also i would put her in a tshirt to protect her from breaking the skin - i do this with my allergy dog and i did it with my dex when he was burned by groomer and it helps protect the skin when they itchy - if it is a burn the benedryl will not help

Go to whole foods and get calendula as that helps with burns to sooth them
