They gave her an injection of benadryl and perscribed children's benadryl. I had to take her back the next day because she was still so itchy and miserable. She scratched her belly so much she made it bleed. And she keeps rubbing her ears on the carpet. They gave her a shot of anti-inflamitory and told me to keep giving her the benadryl. Her belly, neck and private area seem better, but not her ears. The vet said it was definetly not an ear infection, just the allergic reaction.
Has this ever happened to you? Do you have any suggestions on what may help sooth her itching??
I called the groomer and they used Groomers Edge shampoo and The Stuff spray.
I usually use Earthbath puppy shampoo and detangling spray and have not had any issues.
Please help! I hate seeing Missy so miserable. She didn't even want to eat.
Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry she had such a reaction!
Crosley is somewhat sensitive to shampoos so we tend to use a very gentle formula or an oatmeal shampoo, but we have never had that type of reaction.
I wonder if you gave her an oatmeal bath if that would help calm the itching.
I hope she's better soon!
