On the average, most yorkie females don't come into Season at a young age...so, you can wait, until those growth plates close. But, then I keep in contact with my families and we converse back and forth on when is the time. And believe me when they go in for their procedure I'm a bundle of nerves right along with them.
Things have evoved so much....but, to make an educated decision you need to take several factors into consideration. Spaying before first heat, growth patterns, etc. It's not a one contract stipulation fits all.
