I have the reg black alex. The design is the same and I have no complaints. If you find yourself with your baby and need to run a quick errand to somewhere where pups aren't allowed, it gives you peace of mind to bring her in with you and people always think what you have is a purse. (just don't leave the flaps up, I was caught that way once.
) I've only used it for errands, airplane trips (the bag was open for the most part and I always had the flaps up), and a few trips to the movies.
