Each dog differes in their growth pattern. If one spays or nueters too early it does affect the growth pattern as well as the mental maturity of the dog. Then there is the male thing; some boys testes drop and seat early others not until 9 months of age.....So, again a breeder has to take into consideration the health and welfare of the pup.
