It has to be expensive & dangerous, and if you don't know what you are doing disasterous! and i myself could not bear to sell or even give away the pups as i would consider them members of my family!!I understand why good breeders are so careful in choosing their adoptive parents for their fur babies! Placing puppies is very intuitive and based on the questions I ask. I don't place puppies unless I trust 100% and the owners live close enough for me to check. I've been lucky so far, as most of my families keep in regular contact with me. I also have something in my contract that is very inticing to new buyers. I provide free grooming and boarding for the rest of that puppy's life. The other thing I have in my contract is that if the pup is bred without my approval, I will confiscate pup and litter. I also have a $5,000 breech of contract clause. With that being said, a contract is only as good as the 2 people signing it. So, it all goes back to gut and trust.
I'm not really in the business of breeding to sell puppies, so that makes it very easy for me to be very, very selective on where I place puppies. I've been known to hold onto puppies until they reach 7 months of age, so I have plenty of time.
