Unfortunately, age should ALWAYS be considered. |
Although I respect your opinion, I am not of the same opinion and stick by what I said before.
Just because someone is 60 they should only get a senior dog? I just cannot agree with that. And every time I have homed a dog with an older person they always have a back up plan for their dog/dogs to go with someone the dog knows.
I am 48, my husband is 50 so are we to old? what is to old? what is to young? I have sold puppies to people in their 60's and in their early 20's and as far as I am concerned they have just as much of a right to the dog they want as anyone else.
It's not like I plan to hand over Mindy to the first person to come along, unless they just happen to be a good home for her. There aren't a lot of people out there that want a dog like Mindy, she can really be a pain in the butt and it takes a person with a strong personality and a lot of patience to keep a dog like her.
