Read everything you can about whelping.....she's gonna need help, yorkies aren't like larger breeds that do all the whelping on their own. During the whelp you'll have to make sure she doesn't poop out on you. Sometimes that is an issue with a large litter. They can deliver several of the pups just find, but not have the strength to deliver the last couple and require a C-section. After the litter is born, your main concern will be eclampsia....so, you'll have to make sure she is obtaining plenty of calcium supplements, but only after the litter is whelped, never before.

Is there some kind of something that she can have during labor to help her with energy? Like the Nutramin or something similar?
