I have a small one that's 2.6 lbs, but who does not require any of my help. My bed is about 2ft tall and this girl can jump all the way up there. She climbs on my sofas, chairs and even my back. I do get scared she might break or tear something but so far no emergency bills, hopefully she will soon learn to use nothing but the steps. My girl does have long legs for her tiny body which helps her tremendously. I think any size is a beautiful size.
