The health of the nails is what's important. Color of nails is passed through genetics. Dryed out looking nails can be a result of poor diet, dried out foot pads can indicate diabetes (I think). I use a product for horse hooves on their toenails and pads called 'Hoof Saver' (good for peoples too!) |
Ahhh, thank you! Just the info I was looking for! Her nails ARE dry! And her pads are like sandpaper! She is a bit fat too, maybe she is diabetic? What tests do I need to have done to find out if she is or not? anyone know?
and where do you get Hoof saver? Sounds like more than just Katie can benefit from that!
