i did have this carrier and used it for an airline trip (round-trip). i found it overly large and 'structured'. it doesn't squish up very well, although it easily goes under the seat. the dog had ample room for movement, and was able to stand and move around, and there was a lot of ventilation, which was great. the dog didn't overheat/pant. if you're looking for function over style it's an ok choice. there was also a touch-type slot so even though you can't open the carrier during the flight you could put your hand inside and feed and pet the dog, that was a cool feature
